About the Iraq-Israel Peace Initiative
The Iraq-Israel Peace Initiative 2020-2030 was launched in October 2020 as a core pillar of the secularist project “The October 25 Movement.” This initiative was spearheaded by Talal Hariri, the movement’s leader, along with a group of young activists and party members, with the aim of fostering a culture of normalization as part of broader peace efforts. Our vision extends beyond the realm of cold political agreements, striving instead for a comprehensive normalization that encompasses cultural, economic, social, and civilizational ties between Iraq and Israel.
